How much will opposing offenses test an injured cornerback or safety when he comes back? For every defensive back currently out with an injury, see how many coverage targets he faced per game before the injury next to how many he’s projected to face in his first 4 games back.
Projections are based on each player’s own pre-injury baseline, adjusted by how defensive backs with the same injury have historically played in their first 4 games after returning, since 2016. A drop in targets usually means a reduced role or snap count, and a rise can mean offenses are picking on a player who isn’t fully healthy.
